Mission

To promote lifelong learning, creativity and confidence by providing exceptional youth theater education; to allow children to communicate creatively, make friends and learn important skills that will continue to serve them well after their involvement with us ends.

All of our workshops, rehearsals and performances are structured so that each participant will have the opportunity to grow personally and enjoy a memorable theatrical experience.

Our Story

At Stage Struck Seattle we believe that all children should be able to explore their imagination and grow in confidence. Our theater education and musical theater opportunities combined with live performances provide a nurturing environment for young performers to develop vital life long skills as they experience the thrill of being a part of the performing arts.

Families from throughout West Seattle and nearby areas attend our programs regardless of prior experience level. Every child is provided with support, challenge and celebration as they progress in their artistic journey whether it be their first time taking the stage or if they love being in front of the audience.

Our History

We founded Stage Struck Seattle because we firmly believed that theater had the ability to positively affect the lives of young people. By incorporating acting, storytelling, dance, music and collaboration, we have given young people the chance to experience the joy of bringing characters to life, while also teaching them what it means to be a team player, responsible for one’s actions, persevering through difficult times etc.

Throughout the years, our programs have become a vital part of the West Seattle community. As such, we have developed a variety of ways for children to find out who they are including theater camps for kids during the summer, youth productions that showcase children performing on a professional quality stage and educational experiences that give kids the opportunity to express their own unique talents in a friendly, welcoming and safe environment.

One thing has consistently been true since our founding – we want to foster positive experiences where every child feels encouraged to take creative risks, support their fellow actors/performers and celebrate each other’s accomplishments on and off stage.

Theater Programs for Kids

Our programs are specifically designed to expose children to all aspects of theater while giving them the tools and opportunity to grow in a supportive atmosphere.

Some examples include:

  • Acting classes
  • Musical Theater programs
  • Summer Theater Camps
  • Youth productions on a stage
  • Drama Workshops
  • Performance training
  • Creative Storytelling activities
  • Ensemble-based learning

Each program includes practical application (hands-on) of the skills learned. This allows participants to develop through rehearsals, performances and collaborative projects.

Empowerment Through Performance

Confidence Building

Children build confidence by performing; our programs give children an outlet for creative expression in a safe, encouraging environment.

Imagination & Artistry

Through Theatre, Children can find their creative side and be able to create their own imaginative ideas and tell new stories that will come alive on stage.

Teamwork Matters

Working as a team is one of the main lessons of theatre. When working as a team, children create and perform with each other creating bonds of friendship.

Moving Forward

Although Stage Struck Seattle is growing, our goal remains the same: to provide high-quality performing arts experiences which inspire young people to dream big, express themselves with confidence and realize the many benefits of theater education for a lifetime.

We look forward to welcoming new families into our community and assisting future generations of young performers as they begin their journeys into the exciting world of theater.

Whether your child dreams of shining brightly under spotlights or would like to try something new – Stage Struck Seattle is a place where confidence grows, relationships develop, and every performance provides memories to last.
